About me
I was born and raised in Wisconsin and moved to South Carolina in 2008 for my Master's in Social Work at the University of South Carolina. I graduated in 2010 and received my LMSW that same year. I began working with children and adults in an acute hospital setting, assessing for services and needed support, before beginning my journey towards independent licensure.
While working towards my full licensure I worked in residential treatment centers with children and adolescents who had a history of trauma, helping them work towards the management of their symptoms. In 2015, I completed my LISW-CP and began working at an outpatient therapy center where I continued my work with children, adolescents and adults. Within this role I was able to assist my clients as they worked though stressful times in their lives, marriages and jobs, through times of grief, as well as with children and adolescents who were struggling with life transitions of their own (behaviorally and emotionally. Since 2011, I have been working at an intensive outpatient agency assessing and helping to treat children and adolescents with behavioral needs, while working with parents and adults to not only strengthen their relationships with each other, but to strengthen the parent/child and family bonds.
I am looking forward to being part of your journey!
